4.0. Movement Studios is a youth-centered dance studio in Murfreesboro dedicated to educating and empowering girls through the art of dance. Founded by Dr. Ashley Mushamba, our studio grew from the nonprofit Dancing Through the Curriculum and has become a safe, vibrant space where young dancers build confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships. At 4.0., we believe dance is more than movement—it’s a pathway to leadership, academic success, and self-expression. Our programming combines high-quality technical training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, acro, and majorette with intentional mentorship and personal development. We proudly serve girls from diverse backgrounds, encouraging them to reach their highest potential both on and off the dance floor. We offer a variety of classes, mini-sessions, performance opportunities, and competitive team experiences, along with unique programs like academic support initiatives and book clubs that reflect our studio’s literacy and leadership roots. Our dancers regularly perform in community events such as local parades, cultural celebrations, and studio showcases, reinforcing our mission to be deeply connected to the Rutherford County community. With certified instructors, innovative programming, and a commitment to safety and excellence, 4.0. Movement Studios has quickly become a trusted resource for families seeking a supportive, high-energy, and growth-minded environment for their daughters.
